Tradeking Review - Discount Stock and Option Trading

Welcome to my Tradeking Review! I hope this helps you decide whether Tradeking is the best online brokerage service for you.

Tradeking was established in 2005 by a member of SureTrade - Donato A. Montanaro. They caused quite a stir when they entered the market by offering exceptionally low cost trades. They still offer trades for just $4.95 and options contracts for just $0.65 and best of all - there is no mininum account balance or other hidden fees!

Close competitor Zecco still does offer free trades, but there's a catch, you have to have $25k in the account! Now, realistically most of us don't have that much to trade - so $4.95 it is..!

So, on price alone Tradeking is hard to beat, but lets take a look at what you get with the rest of the Tradeking package. I will break this down into different sections:

TradeKing offers all the basic investments including stocks, options, mutual funds and ETFs.  On top of this they also offer Treasury Issues, bonds and CDs. However, you must contact a representative by phone to make Treasury, bond, and CD orders.

The Tradeking platform/interface is highly professional and easy to use. All of the information you would expect is there in a clearly laid out and logical fashion.

On top of that there are several tools available when you sign up to Tradeking. One quite unique one is the options search tool that give you the ability to review advanced and basic options strategies for a massive array of options trading techniques.

You also get the following tools:

• A Stock Screener – to search for a group of stocks based on your criteria
• An ETF Screener – to search for a group of ETFs based on your criteri
• A Mutual Fund Screener – to search for a group of Mutual Funds based on your criteria

Tradeking has a massive and active community of investors and a great platform that approaches the stock trading world from a new social media angle.

Investors can see the trades being made by the most profitable members, share tips, ideas and suggest tactics. The forum at Tradeking is by far the most used and useful one I have come across on any online stock trading service and makes the whole experience that much more enjoyable.

If you are already with another stock trading service and they charge for leaving then Tradeking will refund the leaving fees.
